The battle of Instant Gratifcation
The battle of Instant Gratifcation

In this blog I explain the good as well as the bad in regards to instant gratification. Let's get the obviusness out of the way that it is everywhere and almost everybody uses this to satisfy themselves in life. It is the most conviennt outlet to stress and can easily relive one of pain quickly. However, that same pain a person used instant gratifaction to runaway from can easily be amplified when the oppurtunity of confrontation is presented to the user. I use to be on my phone a lot as well as technology to runaway from certain problems in my life. It was the best means of escaping how I felt but once that dopamine rush was over, my body was craving something real. The more I fed my mind the more my body needed to feel the same sensations the mind was receiving. In result you end up over feeding your body which can make one overly emotional because as I said before emotion is just energy in motion. The more energy you feed your body the more emotion will want to be expressed. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if channeled from a place of love and peace, but most people would use this energy for anger or aggression. It is not their fault they do not comprehend their own mind is in reactive mode because of the instant gratification they received from the phone. By having instant gratification by your side 24/7 one is not able to appreciate the little things in life and anything small that is given is never enough, which in result others are bound to feed off of that suffering by offering solutions to the problems you created for yourself. It is not an easy path to walk down since the easy way is at your fingertips, but I truly believe doing things the long way and waiting patiently is the key to be satisfied fully instead of halfway satisfaction. Now you're probably wondering Xella, how do you slow down being or even get rid of the essence that is this rat chase? Some simple things to get rid of or slow down the chase of dopamine is going into nature, Meditation daily throughout the day whenever you feel bored, and also not going after what you desire right away and rather being patient for whatever it is you desire. Instant gratification has taught me areas in life where I seek praise in as well as others. By letting go this habit and letting life flow to you, one will be able to achieve satisfaction fully instead of something never ever being enough. Your life may swing towards alot of hatred considering that you are not going along with the rat race or the dopamine chase lol. However, through the displine and the act of faith one can acheive true happiness as well as satisfaction from life the minute they put the phone down and be with their true selves!
