No Maybes explained

First verse

As of recently I've just been feeling trapped in this repetitive cycle of overstimulation, I'm sure we can all relate. I then dive into the maybes of the results of feeding into this cycle "Maybe if I had her, I would be amazing". But just like the next line, that shit drives me crazy lol just simply saying maybe implies you are not going to do it. That's why I put the Yoda quote in the hook so that way the listener does not fall into the trap of going off of maybes. I believe saying maybe is the same as saying I want to say no but I'm afraid of hurting the other person. It may be used for suggestions as well in order to convince someone else to act according to their response.

Chorus

For those that do not know, Do or do not there is no try is a Star Wars quote from empire strikes back which is one of my favorite movies of the series if anyone asks lol. But I am simply rehabilitating the listener in this scenario by saying "The word maybe don't even cross my mind". You are either doing something to its full extent, or you are simply trying to get by with the easy way given.

Second Verse

In this verse I talk about my trials of my loyalty to my word being tested by many things in life. Reading between the lines and understanding that everything happens for a reason is how I stay loyal to the rap game. After reading between the lines I realize the importance of holding on to my potential and not allowing others to have it freely. Moving through life with a more sense of purpose and cutting out all the "maybes" that many of us tell ourselves. I know there has been plenty of times in life where you said "Maybe one drink won't hurt" or I'll give you one even better "Maybe I'll do this later I'm tired right now". These are the type of maybes that I talk about. The maybes that hold us back from living up to our true potential. I personally see no benefit in even saying the word anymore after making this song lol that is why in the last line of this verse I say, "I am not giving no fucks like a virgin".

In conclusion

The overall intent on this song is helping the listener to say yes when they mean it and say no when they mean it. Also not giving into the middle ground of trying to play both sides in order to appease to other people. You think people driving in Lambos said, " Maybe I should hold off on this opportunity for a little bit", no because everyone else would easily jump on the same thing without hesitation. This is for the people who are saying maybe in their life too much. This is for the ones that need that full head of steam on to doing what they aspire to be to the fullest, not just halfway! As always " Do or do not, there is no try".
